The management of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, Lagos, has flagged off events for the celebration of LUTHDAY at the hall 36 of the hospital premises on the 28th August, 2017; and the events ranges from Football, Table Tennis, Scrabble, Draught, Chess and Ayo.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Chris Bode ably represented by the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Olufemi Fasanmade said that the revival of Luthday celebration event is to foster team spirit among all the various cadres of staff because a house divided against itself cannot stand.
He opined that working together everyday and spending most of the time together from 8am to atleast 6pm which is almost half of eachday's existence, even probably more than the time spent with other members of our family.
He concluded that the management has revived LUTHDAY celebrations along with other programmes to foster team spirit in the hospital; and there is possibility of rolling out another programme to foster team spirit by creating the staff cafeteria where all other staff members can meet together.
On the same vein, the Director of Administration, Mr. Babajide Grillo admonished all sports participants to compete in the spirit of fair play and friendliness, while the rest of the people savor in the excitement of the games.
Further more, The Lagos University Teaching Hospital Management cordially invites the general public and members of staff in all Departments/Divisions to events of 2017 LUTHDAY celebration.
The events kick starts on Monday 16th October, 2017; an inter-faith service @ Hall 36, by 10:00am.
Tuesday 17th October, 2017; Health Talk/Medical checks @ Hall 36 by 9:00am.
Female Novelty Match @ Staff School Field by 3:00pm.
3rd Place Football Match @ Staff School Field by 3:00pm.
Wednesday 18th October, 2017- Grand finale of all indoor events @ Hall 36, 8:30am.
